Thomas keen to retain Callaghan
Thomas said that it was an 'unfortunate' situation, but he added that Callaghan would remain with the club and will take part in the training camp to London. "'Callas' is a tremendous clubman and club person and we hold him in high regard. He's selflessly gone about accepting the decision we've made and we'll be drafting him back," Thomas told afl.com.au. "As far as we're concerned, it's just paperwork and we're hoping it turns out that way."

Lyon ready to coach

Saints leave Black home
Heath Black won't be joining his St Kilda teammates tonight for the club's London training camp. AFL investigations officer Ken Wood is looking into the deal under which former Hawthorn forward Jade Rawlings is almost certain to be at the Western Bulldogs next year. Rawlings wanted to be traded to the Kangaroos, but Hawthorn could not agree to a deal.

London calling for hard-working Saints
"At the end of the day we have won one premiership by one point in 105 years or whatever it is, and that's a pretty poor return," Thomas said. "(Grand finals) don't come around often and when they do we are not that good at them. If we keep doing things the way we have done them we are going to get the same result, so we have to change our behaviour to direct the place towards success."
