Round 3 - Saints vs Eagles

We were certainly brought back to earth and our feet, although very wobbly, are planted firmly back on the ground now. We have a young team and without the intensity of Hamill's leadership we do look like a bunch of kids without direction. The good news is - the game is over, and when the shock waves settle, Saints supporters can get back to the business of looking forward to next weeks game. Before this we will be blaming GT and wondering what the hell we are going to do for a ruck now that we have no more tricks left in our little bag. Things started off badly over this weekend when the team's plane was late and the players started their trip sitting in Tullermarine Airport playing cards and Saturday finished with them playing cards on the plane back home. Very little in between will be kept as treasured memories by the players and supporters. I am still hoping that this is a nighmare and I will wake up in the morning and head down to Hyde Park for the Pre-game function and then over to Subiaco to witness our young exciting side take the game by horns with Aaron Hamill leading the way. Thanks to Lew Mutch again, for a very well run function for the supporters and making some bucks for the Saints coffers. We are a tough breed us Sainters and we will be back there next week with high hopes, stats and stories about a big wig against Richmond.
