Many of the external links on the archived pages are broken due to various news services policies. westofmoorabbin has intentionally not removed these broken links to provide researchers with source information which may help track the information. General News services archives appear to be handled as follows:
The Age 'RealFooty' links pre 2007 have mostly been broken since the site upgrade.
Most afl.com.au and saints.com.au news links are fairly reliable for 12 months. Some core links remain active longer.
Herald Sun articles can become inactive within a few months and copies of the articles are usually available from Newstext - Subscriptions and Schools packages are available.
