Guerra and Clarke in
St Kilda has selected former Port Adelaide player Brent Guerra for Saturday night's tough assignment against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium. Guerra has completed a three-match suspension for rough play, arising from an incident during the Wizard Cup grand final . . . The Saints also welcome back Xavier Clarke, who was a late withdrawal from the Easter Monday win over Richmond due to a leg injury.

Saints can cover Hamill: Burke
St Kilda assistant coach Nathan Burke believes the Saints have enough depth to cover the loss of 2003 skipper Aaron Hamill, who was unable to have his one-match suspension overturned at the AFL appeals board on Thursday night . . . "Obviously, you'd like Sammy (Hamill) there. He's an excellent, important player for us, but the fact is he got a week," Burke said. "The good thing is that we're not relying on one particular player. We've got some other guys up forward that are capable of kicking goals. He's not like he's our one and only goalkicker or forward player, so I think we can cover him for a week."

Great Match-ups?
SaiNts_FreAk: Hey Nick, are you pretty confident at the top of the AFL ladder, and how are the boys leading up to the Round 4 clash - will there be any great match-ups to look out for?
Nick Dal Santo: I would say Lenny Hayes and Andrew McLeod, Mark Ricciuto and Robert Harvey, Wayne Carey and Luke Penny, and Nigel Smart and Nick Riewoldt.

Adelaide vs St Kilda
The Crows were better against the Dockers and were it not for some sloppy disposal and inaccurate goal-kicking, could have pinched the points. The improvement should continue at home in front of a capacity AAMI Stadium, but it's hard to see the Saints juggernaut running aground.

Hamill's absence a test for Saints
If there was any trepidation because St Kilda has not defeated the Crows in Adelaide since round 22, 1991 - when the Saints were victorious by 51 points - then Burke joked that he was more likely to feel it than the current group. "It might pose a problem if I was still playing because I haven't won over there a great deal," he laughed. "But a lot of these young guys wouldn't factor that in at all. The fact is the last time we were actually on that ground, we had a win (in the Wizard Cup) and the young guys played some good footy, and that's probably going to be foremost in their mind rather than 10-15 years ago."

There's Nathan to worry about
As a fearless onballer, Nathan Burke had to be fleet-footed to survive the crushes during a decorated career with St Kilda. Now he's displaying those same evasive skills in his role as one of the Saints' assistant coaches, countering any query perceived to contain a negative slant on the eve of the team's first road trip to Adelaide for tonight's clash with the Crows . . . On the possibility of wind and rain after playing in Telstra Dome's sterile conditions for the past six weeks: "Yes, we've played indoors a fair bit the last half a dozen games. Last time the roof was open because it was a pretty still day. "It can have affect, some players handle the wind and rain better than others. The good thing is we train in the wind and rain. We don't shelter the players once it gets wet and cold because we know we might come up against that."

Justin-credible - An Inside Look
An Inside Look this week shines the spotlight on a young Saint, Justin Koschitzke who took the league by storm in his first season. The second overall pick on the 2000 National AFL Draft, Koschitzke made his presence felt in a season where St Kilda brought in a lot of new blood, including Riewoldt, Black, Voss and Gehrig. His 2001 season was outstanding and he was rewarded for his efforts by winning the 2001 AFL Rising Star. He displayed the reason why St Kilda nabbed him through his versatility, in being able to play forward, ruck and be utilised in defence. Unfortunately, his 2002 was one which kept him on the sidelines. He injured his back in Round 4 against Geelong and it halted any chance of playing that year. However in Round 22, Justin was honoured by retiring club legend Stewart Loewe, being presented the number 23 guernsey at the end of the game. This type of honour showed just how important Koschitzke is to the future of the Saints.
